The Process

Our Fine Prints are made with a LightJet 5000 laser printer on Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper, which has the highest rating for image longevity, estimated at 60 to 70 years. LightJet prints have all the benefits of digital imaging and none of the limitations inherent in the optical enlarging process. The LightJet printer exposes a digital image directly to the paper using red, green, and blue laser beams. The resulting images are processed through traditional photographic chemistry. This technique results in what are arguably the sharpest, highest-fidelity prints available today.
 

Limited Edition Fine Prints

An exclusive collection of classic Frans Lanting images is available as Limited Edition Fine Prints. These prints are made on Crystal Archive photographic paper. The edition is limited to 300 prints per image. Each print is signed by Frans Lanting on the back of the print and on a mat of archival rag board. A certificate of authenticity is included.
 

Open Edition Fine Prints

These custom prints are made to the same exacting specifications as the Limited Edition Fine Prints, but they are not numbered. Open Edition Fine Prints are available for many Frans Lanting images not included in the Limited Edition series. They are also made on Crystal Archive photographic paper. Each print is signed by Frans Lanting on the back of the print and on a mat of archival rag board.
 

Matting

Fine Prints are mounted in a signed white mat of archival ragboard.

Framing

Custom framing is available for all Fine Prints.
